What xfunc is
xfunc is short for cross-functional. We design and build custom applications, portals, integrations and cloud platforms for government and enterprise, and we bring the surrounding disciplines with us: architecture before the first line of code, automation and security as part of the build, and coaching so your team can run what we hand over.
Adelaide-based, working across Australia. Most of our delivery record is with South Australian government, education and utilities, alongside enterprise clients in automotive, agribusiness and community services.

Over fifteen years I've deliberately built expertise across every discipline in software delivery, most of it picked up while doing the others: designing UX while writing code, testing while developing, automating every release while shipping, coaching while building, architecting while delivering. Each layer was intentional, to understand how the full lifecycle fits together and where the gaps between teams cause the most damage.
The result is a practitioner who doesn't just architect a solution but builds it, doesn't just build the pipeline but understands the code flowing through it, and doesn't just coach a team but can sit beside its developers on the hardest problems. Since 2018 I've done that as an independent contractor and, now, as xfunc.
